I've been copying DVD's using either my Panny DMRE50 DVD Recorder or my laptop. The laptop software gives me proper 5.1 sound as ell as preserves the DVD menus and such. But I've also been printing DVD labels and sticking them on the DVD's to mimic an proper DVD. The copied DVD's with the labels stuck used to work on both my LG home theatre and my Panny DVD recorder but of late both units play the DVD for a short time and then they start skipping like hell. I don't think it's anything with the copied DVD themselves since other DVD without labels still play properly.
Does anyone know why this is happening and how to solve it? Otherwise, is there some kind of proper labels that I should buy?
Also, do printers exist which can print directly onto the DVD's?

Epson has a line of printers that print onto inkjet printable DVD's. They are the Epson 900, 200, 300 and the new 320.

You can get the 200 at Staples in the US for around $80.00. -
Moved to Media Forum, but it's a tough one to place!
You might want to take a look at the sticky on labels at the top of this particular forum. You might find something there.
