    hi,
    i am trying to split a dvd into a few diff parts (vob).
    but for each vob i get a video ts folder with the vob and other bup files and such. i just want to take the diff vobs and make a dvd through tmpgenc dvd author. do i need the different buf files and other files for this? im not ripping any menus from the dvd, just straight video.

    If you reauthor with just the movie, you will get a video_TS folder with all the files required for a DVD player to play it. This includes the ifo and bup files. As the vobs now only contain the movie, you should be able to load them into tmpgenc DVD author using without any problems
