Cutting ASF and WMV movies

Hi all,

i have lots of .asf and .wmv movies movies which i'd like to chop. I dont care about the output files, as long as they dont use to much HD space (divx is good).

I've tried with virtualdub 1.3c but didnt have much success. Most of my files are "corrupted", virtualdub cant open them properly. Virtualdub wont open .wmv either.

I was able to open some .asf files, followed the instructions in "how to convert asf to divx" but when it comes to saving to avi i get a message: you're trying to save using a hacked divx codec!!!

Please help if you know about another program that can edit asf and wmv. (a lil proggy like avichop would be perfect!)
