    FCP or FCE... QT Pro is usually sufficient for my needs, otherwise iMovie works, but I usually stay in a DV format workflow... until I export to MPEG2 and AC3 for DVD.

    The problem is that i have to convert the .mov to a dvstream. Trying to stay in the .mov format so I don't wait for conversion and then encoding.

    If FCP or FCE is the only option I suppose it's a worth while investment.

    All you do is click the editting triangle then use the arrow keys. You can go frame by frame, that should be accurate enough

    Hold down SHIFT and move the slider. Use the cursor arrows, too. Cut/copy/paste. Works nicely. Easier than QT Pro, I think.
