  1. Hey Evry1,
Well, I've been usin DVD Shrink and DVD Decryptor for quite some time with success but only until recently did I run into trouble. I can't make the subtitles appear with DVD Shrink (even after trying to force subtitle). Movies like Kill Bill 2 and Ronin have subtitles for when there momentarily speaking a different language, but once I try to extract the main movie, DVD Shrink does not allow me to have subtitles. What do I do

  2. Hi daperdanman.

First, make sure you uncheck "Hide audio/subpicture streams of insignificant sizes", in DVD Shrink "Edit >> Preferences" menu.

Then use the following guide to identify and "force" the right subtitle stream.

  3. Thks ddlooping,
Well, I have unckecked that box. I'm not sure what to do? I'm rather proficient with copin DVD's so unckecking that box is just some noob shit. I need know why I can't get these subtitles to show up (i.e., Kill Bill 2, Ronin, etc.)?

  4. Now you have unchecked the box, the original "forced" subtitles should be listed in DVD Shrink "Compression Settings" tab.
    (on the right, under "Subpicture")
More often than not their size is < 1MB.
Simply include them in your backup (check them).

If you use Full-Disc mode, they should then appear automatically on-screen when playing your backup.
If you use Re-author mode, follow this guide so as to make them appear automatically when playing your backup.

P.S: they will not appear in DVD Shrink preview as it's not able to display subtitles.

  5. ddlooping,
Thnks so much for your help. Your P.S. comment really helped me. You see, I did'nt know that DVD Shrink wasn't able to display subs. So, just one final question-how do I know if the subs will play on my TV DVD player correctly?
