    Hi amdk62,

Check out the "Audio Editors" in the "Tools" section. Regularly recommend is Audacity (freeware, may do the job) and Goldwave (semi-professional trialware, more likely to do the job I'd guess). There are others...

Also, check the "How To... Convert" - there may be something under DTS to [audio format of your choice].

    Good luck.

An *avi is actually a container not a file type. Have you run GSpot against this file to see what the audio file really is? There is DTS with and without a flag, and other variations of DTS, so you need to know exactly what you're dealing with. If you can play it, then the codecs must be in your computer somewhere. TMPGEnc should be able to demux the audio and transcode it to something easier to handle, or IsoBuster could be used to extract and save the audio as is.

If GSpot says you need it, then you don't have it. Get it.

It sounds like AC3Filter isn't decoding the DTS for you and this is where your issue is coming from.
    If in doubt, Google it.

OK i have solved the prob, it seem AC3Filter was the key. I put the AVI (DTS) thru DrDivX, and walla a perfect AVI (MP3) format.

    THX again for above replies!!
