  1. When I opened an AVI that I wanted to convert to mpeg2 with VirtualDub 1.6.9, I got that VBR encoding notice about the audio. When I opened it in VirtualDub MP3 Freeze to save the wav file (after selecting the no compression PCM option), it save a 70 MB WAV file that would not play and that BeLight recognized as having only a duration of 1 second. When I tried to save it again, I got an 800 kb file. I know this AVI has audio but I don't know how to save it.

Try using Goldwave or Audacity. If the vid plays with sound in Windows Media Player (or any other player that uses DirectShow), I'm pretty sure you'll be able to open its soundtrack in the programs I mentioned.

Please update your VirtualDub. Now they are on 1.83.
    Handling VBR like a charm.

  4. The new virtualdub did capture the audio file but it still read as 0 seconds on BeLight; however, when I opened it in Audacity and just exported it as another wav file, BeLight was able to read and convert that file. Thanks.
