  1. Hello,

Im going to buy, for the first time, some blanks from blankmedia.ca.

There are many many choices there.

I have an LG-4040B burner on XP. I havent had any problems with any media I have tried so far (Memorex, TDK, Maxell, both + / - types).

From what is listed there, what are the better quality disks for the best price. What gives the best bang for the buck? I havent really looked at the site that much before so I dont know how their pricing works (ie. what was cheaper last week compared to this week, etc, etc).

Also, do they ever have "sales" or is it whatever is on the site, thats the price?

    Thanks a bunch in advance.

    LG

  3. lol .. ok. Since they are out of stock, how about 2nd bang for 2nd buck?

I just dont want to buy something if its not worth it. Im sure you can empathize.

I dont want to by "X" disks for "Y" dollars and find out later that it was way too expensive.

Prodisc DVD-R might be the best "bang for your buck" media just because they are so godamn cheap while at the same time having a low failure rate (if you ask me). I would not trust them for really important stuff however. It depends on what you need.

BTC drives do it. To legit ones! On current firmware even!
    And beware of TYG02 fakes!

  6. I'm in the Prodisc camp too, 1300 or so I might have seen 1 bad one, then again it might have been the not so reliable JVC standalone.

  7. Prodisk seems to be a popular choice on the site as well. Tons of different models

What about Taito Yuden? There are a bunch of choices from them as well.
