  1. In some DVDs you can choose from two kinds
of subtitles: "English" and "English Caption".

    What's the difference?

    Hello,

Often times director commentary tracks have a title of who's talking.

Check out any of the Star Wars dvds and you will know what I mean.

When someone is talking their name will appear on the screen at the same time.

The other possibility is it's the "bonus commentary" text track with movie trivia or extra background information.

    Kevin

---Ghostbusters and Star Trek - The Motion Picture dvds have the text commentary with bonus info--
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

well this is what I think ...captions are for individuals that are hearing impared and it will give you an idea of what character is speaking .( there for it will tell you who is saying what ) most newer tv also have this feature...( they even tell you actions like clapping and singing ...while the other is not nesesary

  7. English Caption gives a colour ID or named reference to who is speaking. It also describes background music or theme sounds as it occurs, details music lyrics and describes imortant sound effects.

You mean Up-North?! I'm actually waiting to hear Canada enter into a civil war against Quebec. It'd probably last 3 days and end up in 10 OV beer bottles being thrown into the street before people from Toronto come over and clean it up. The people in Quebec will give up after being threatened by the rest of the country once they get their only submarine (diesel class) into the water at Lake Michigan. Quebec's fear would be that the submarine has more litter than the 10 OV bottles that were thrown into the city streets.

Canada is considered the NED FLANDERS of the earth. It's biggest Pet Peeves are litter and people who make fun of their beer. :P

I doubt a civil war will ever break out over Quebec. if it came to that i bet the government would just say "**** this, go ahead and succeed, we don't even really like you that much anyways."

as for our pet peeves, we have plenty more than that, howver I can't go into them here, but I can at politick...
