This may be a question more tailored to someone who is an overall computer tech because I think it has to do with my system resources but perhaps not.
About 50% of the time...when I play nearly any avi or mpg type of video file with any player, it does this thing where the video just stops for several seconds and then resumes...and then stops again, then resumes, etc. I've tried restarting but that doesn't always solve the problem. I know this is a pretty non-specific problem but the truth is I don't know where to look for the specifics. I just recently updated all my divx/xvid codecs to their newest versions so I don't think that's it. My Winamp and WMP programs are also using the latest version.
