So, after I mixdown a score to a short film in Logic, I use the export audio to video function. It exports as a regular .mov file. It plays fine on 2 of my machines.

Then, I upload it to my FTP for the producer to view and she can't hear the audio.
She is on a mac as well and uses Safari also, just like me. She's up to date and on 10.4

My associate tried to view it on a PC and there was fine picture but also no audio.

    Here's the weird thing:
A buddy of mine checked it out and said it played and viewed fine and he's on a mac with safari.

What gives? Why is this happening?
Any thoughts? I've got deliverables due today!
    Thanks

Looks like a missing codec, maybe some codec specific to Logic.
So which audio codec is used?
When you open your .mov file in QuickTime Player, and you do a Cmd-I and/or Cmd-J, what does it tell you about the audio format?

    Wow that was fast!
H.254, MPEG 4 Low Delay AAC

    Does that help?

AAC-LD is meant for real time two-way communication (think VOIP), so that seems a strange codec for an audio file. If you can, prefer AAC-LC (Low Complexity), which is known to be most widely supported (including a default QuickTime install).

Interesting. That sounds good, but in Logic there's only one option for AAC encoding.
I do have a version that says 'AAC H.264'
But the file extension is m4v.
Will that work do you think?

    I would think so.
