  1. Okay using TMPGEnc 12a I converted a divx to SVCD (took 13 hours) and now I want to break it up into 3 discs using TMPGEnc 12a (like I have with regular VCDs) but TMPGEnc 12a doesn't display the movie. Also WMA and GDivX only play the movie's sound, no video. What did I do wrong? Can someone tell me how to make this DivX into a SVCD (I know how to do VCDs just fine).

  2. try umcompressing the divx to jus a regular avi and extract the audio to wave and reencode

  3. Woh, that sounds complicated. How would I go about doing that and what software I need to do and where do I get it?

  4. I wouldn't try what pinoy said, just yet. Try getting a program that is known to support mpeg2, SVCD, playback.
Windvd or PowerDvd are two. Try using a demo of these programs. See if it plays.

If it plays ok then you could chop using an updated version of Tmpenc or BBmpg.

I would read all the guides I could before rendering again.

BTW, extracting a divx to a "regular" avi takes a HUGE amount of hard drive space.
