  1. I downloaded Ulead DVD Movie Factory and it seems to do the job well except for the burning utility. The program crashes every time when I get into the Export menu. I have Win 2k on my system, newly reinstalled, a Aopen 24X CDR-RW burner, 733 MHz PIII, 256 MB RAM. Can anyone give me a hint what to do? I have even tried on a ME edition on my machine but with the same result.

  2. There is a known problem with Win2k - Ulead have a fix on their download page. It's something to do with video drivers, apparently. Don't know why it should crash under Me (unless it's using the same driver?).

Other than that, I don't know what to suggest, sorry.

  3. I had a similar problem using VideoStudio 6.0 with XP. What I found is if you use any program that uses the CD-RW before you use VideoStudio, it crashes. Videostudio uses it's own CD-RW driver. What I have to do is do all my editing and rendering, save the project, reboot, open VideoStudio and then burn my CD. The Roxio and VCDEasy drivers seem to hose VideoStudio. Also, you may need to look at the built in CD-RW settings that XP uses. It took about 10 hosed up burns to figure this out.

  4. The problem is solved! After spending hours to fix this I decided to move a few steps backwards and install Win98 on an old drive and abracadabra, it works! My experience is that Win98 seems to be the most stable system due to many improved drivers.
