TMPEG won't open a DivX to convert to SVCD :(

I want to convert all my divx's to SVCD.

When I try to load the divx as the source I get an error. I've tried lots of different divx's as well...am I doing this all wrong or is it something else?

I had the same problem, solution I used? raise your directshow to priority 1 under options-enviromental settings-vfapi plugin. I found 1(+) to be best since anything higher made encoding slower and divx playback wasnt working correctly (artifacting bad)

Get the Kristal Studio codec pack. You most likely do not have all the required codecs..

In case you haven't got it working, you may wish to try to find a copy of TMPEG 12a. I can't for the life of me get Divx's to load in any other version. Maybe its just me though.

I had the same problem as well. I had DIVx 4 installed and no version of TMPGEnc was accepting the DIVx movie as video/audio source.
I downloaded a previous version of DIVx codecs, version 3.something and it has been working fine ever since.
