Howdy,
I'm using Ulead Video Studio 7 to capture all my DV and I keep getting this message every time after my capture is completed or stopped. "The duration of the inserted clip is too long. It will be trimmed to fit" I am splitting by scene and I have to hit the "OK" a frigging hundred times before they all get into the Video Track section. They all show up okay and everything works out fine, I'm just wondering it there's a setting that I'm missing to keep getting this message all the time or is it just because I'm splitting by scene?????
Thanks for the help,
Max

Hi MAXIMUS01CAN,
I'm just guessing here, so I may be totally wrong. But, it could be that UVS7 is getting confused by the lack of / change of timecode between scenes.
Try transferring your DV AVI in with WinDV - it handles the scenes OK (so I've read here). You could also look into DVIO and AVI_IO.
The DV AVI you get will be just the same as what you'd get with UVS7.
Hope that helps. Good luck...There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
