Hey guys, I'm still looking for the specs for recording stuff to MPEG 1 then to VCD. Stuff like Video Bit rate and MEQ rate as well. I already know the rest... I think. Or is there a better way of doing it ? Like maybe AVI to MPEG then to VCD ? Anyones thoughts are useful. Thanks

I have an aiw 128 pro, tried to use ati mpg and to make avi and convert.
the quality is really much better second way, even if you try to make an xvcd.
only problems are disk space and time to spend in conversion, of course capturing in mpg you save both and make vcd real time (only burning time).
I suggest you make some tries.
anyway, MEQ I dont' know what it is, video bit rate I think = quality, to make standard vcd you need 1150000 byte/sec, if you go over (better not more than 2.3 - 2.5 mb/sec) you make a xvcd, better quality but not all stand alone dvd players read them.
