  1. Hey, anyone know of any media that will play on an xbox as it's very fussy!!!

At the moment i'm having to use imation dvd+rw which is ofcourse a total waste of money

I've tried a couple of medias that work on my dvd player but not on an xbox.

    Cheers, slave.

I use TDK -R (2x or 4x) burned w/Nero ver 5.5.10.56, under DVD-ROM (UDF) with "Force DVD compatibility mode (required for XBox)" checked...

  5. FYI, there are 3 different manufacturers of Xbox drives...
Thompson, Philips, and Samsung. The first two are hit and miss, sometimes you get a really good one, and sometimes they are garbage.
The Samsung is usually the best (and the newest) as it reads cd-r's much better than the others (assuming that they read them at all...), but it will not read +R's.

I have been using ritek g03, g04, g05 on my Thompson and now on Samsung since upgrading...

I burn a lot of Ritek discs for a friend who plays them fine on two unmodded Xbox's.
