Try booting off your windows disc, then pretend you're going to re-install windows. You should be able to delete all the partitions on the hard drive, then repartition and format the drive.

Just remember, don't re-install windows. Doh!

Nero and Roxio both have options to make a bootable CD. The problem is you need a bootable floppy (and a drive) to create the boot files on the disc. You might want to see if someone will let you borrow their USB floppy or spring for one.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

Just go to http://www.bootdisk.com and download the Windows 98 disk. IT will boot to dos and load cdrom drivers for the most common IDE inferaces and works 99% of the time. Very easy.

Run the EXE which will then ask you to put in a floppy and it creates the disk. If you don't have a floppy drive, go get oen for $8 and try that route.

To this day I still cannot believe the Floppy is still the standard disk type. Why didn't the zip disk or LS120 become the standard?

Good old reliable flopies I guess. cheap.
