  1. hi,

    i have an amplifier which works on 110v ,60hz. But in india we have 240v 50hz power supply. Where can i get convertor for that and any specification what type it should be?

    The most important problem is how much power the amplifier uses. This determines the size and power of the converter. It should say the wattage it draws on the device itself. If the power supply is separate, then you would just purchase a replacement that would supply the needed voltage.

    Check also if it says 50-60 Hz. Assuming you need a converter, here is one website to give you an idea what types are available. There should be a store or site locally in your country where the same type of devices are available.

    Many newer electronic devices can operate on 110-220VAC and 50-60HZ. I assume you have already checked this. If so, you may only need a plug converter for the electrical outlet.

    The true sinusoidal converters can end up costing more than the amplifier if the current demands are high. Weigh getting a new amplifier against the cost of a huge power converter.
