I've been running this under Windows XP with no problems.
Since I have upgraded to Windows 7, when I convert to AVI DivX from any video format with this setting, the video converts, and burns to HD and won't play on a standalone.
    Does anyone use this program?

never heard of it. too many better excellent free converters available in the tools section here. the only mentions of it i can find are other people complaining about it and their support(or lack of).

I( use AVS4YOU on my Windows 7 computer and I have had several 'glitches' with the DIVX codec depending on where I download it from. I eventually switched to XVID and do not have any problems but I also just encode to a DVD with menus so you might try that. Since it used to work before, it is most likely the codec Windows 7 is using since I believe the program is the same for both. To that end, I use K-Lite codecs and everything seems to work ok. I personally like AVS4YOU and have had good luck contacting their help through the help email link.
    Thanks

  5. Dump AVS4YOU and use freeware converters. There is Vidcoder or Handbrake....and a bunch more.
AVStoDVD is one for making dvd files.
