    ffmpeg guis like super, winff, mediacoder but they are usually not as easy to use as some trialware/shareware.

  3. FlvExtract + FFMpeg + Virtualdub (or avisynth) will do the job 100% free with full control of your conversion

    FlvExtract => Avi + MP3
    FFMpeg => to decode flv1 in the avi file

    FlvExtract + ffdshow + Virtualdub (or avisynth)
    ...
    ffdshow => to decode flv1 in the avi file

    And some other...
    FLV Splitter + ffdshow > Avisynth + VirtualDub (or TMPGEnc).

    And else... Avidemux.

  7. Not sure if this will help, but after I installed super on my pc I was able to open flv files in tmpg encoder with no problem.

    Confirmation.

    But... SUPER just installed several DirectShow filters - including FLV Splitter.

    Well, TMPGEnc can open and convert FLV's if installed splitter and decoder.

    Just install FLV Splitter (and use ffdshow to decode FLV1) > when browse file in TMPGEnc choose All files(*.*) (file type).
