I purchased a canon elura 60. I am having problems with it taking still pictures. I have done everything the manual says and did everything customer service has said and still nothing. It will take pics fine when you use the remote but when you push the photo button on the camcorder, it wont take a pic. Any help will be appriciated.

Thanks for your response. Thats what canon customer service said, but i wanted to make sure if maybe i was missing something or doing something wrong. Sometimes customer service messes up as well. Again thanks!!!

Maybe you have to keep the button pressed down for a few seconds, have you tried that already?
I think,therefore i am a hamster. -
Yes. I held the button down halfway like it said in the manual to get it to focus on the subject and then the rest of the way down, but it wont take a pic. I have even tried just pushing it in all the way and still wont take a pic. It will only take a pic when you use the remote.
