Has anyone had problems with a PVR250 on a board using VIA chips that was solved by updating to the latest VIA Hyperion 4 in 1 drivers?

There's an August updated VIA driver, 4.53, for Win XP systems.
I've been having lots of problems with a new Aver Ultra 500 PCI and if this update doesn't help I was thinking of trying the PVR250. But I saw Haup's webpage note that there could be compatability issues with VIA chips and it suggests updating the VIA drivers.

Just wondering if anyone has tried this and how it worked out.
    thanks

Were you always OK or did you need to upgrade to the 4.53 Hyperion drivers?

And if you were always OK would you happen to know what version of the drivers you were using?

What mobo/North-Southbridge chips do you have?

The VIA UniChrome KM400A Chipset is good & flexible. It supports DDR memory speeds. THe North Bridge is connected to the South Bridge. Never had a problem with compatability. Hauppauge WinTV2000 version 4.0 build 21126 Win 98SE/Me/2000/XP 8/7/03 This is a Cool Web site for Downloads.
