What do you guys think? Is this a possiblity in the future. Just think back when you got your cassete recorder, you always wanted a fade button so songs can fade in or out nicely. Then you got your cd recorder that didn't have fade button, eventually they implemented fade feature in cd recorders.
Can DVD recorders work the same way? I just thought of this idea after watching my recorded tv shows and basketball games. When commercial comes up, I push pause during recording, so you can tell during play back, it's abrupt. I thought it would be cool it we had some type of fading effect features. I know this can all be done on the PC. But, geez the rendering and re-encoding process is too long just to add transition effects.
Mpeg files are different than music files, so seems like this can never be done in real time. Any thoughts if this is possible in the future? Real time fading/transition effects of video files?
