  1. I have my project all set and ready to be output so that I can burn the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS files to DVD.

Under the Output menu - When I push the begin output button the program creates the volume, VIDEO_TS/AUDIO_TS on my harddrive, but then TMPGEnc closes and kicks me to desktop. I go and look at the folders it created and they have nothing in them.

In short....I push begin output, get kicked to desktop 1 second later. Any idea why?

    Hi dtac7,

It sounds like TMPGEnc DVD Author (TDA) is being closed because it is causing some kind of fatal error or conflict, rather than it's closing itself.

Uninstall, re-boot, re-install and try again (if you haven't done so already).

Be sure to close any unwanted applications, programs or processes that are open and /or running in the background before running TDA.. EndItAll2 is good for this.

How much memory have you got?

I'm sorry to say that problems like this can be tricky to track down and sort out.

You may need to re-launch previously running apps one-by-one then try TDA after each one is open to identify if / where there is a conflict...

No problem. Drastic, but fairly quick and effective - when it works!

For that reason I usually have TDA output to an ISO, then I burn with DVD Decrypter.
