DVD Shrink 3.2 problems

I'm trying to back-up my copy of Red Dwarf Series 4 using DVD Shrink 3.2

When I first select the DVD it begins analizing the disk and at 14%, just after it gets through the menuse, DVD Shrink locks for a minute and I get an error saying it cannot read the drive.

Am I doing something wrong here? I have tried cleaning the disk and nothing has changed.

Sounds like a problem on your DVD, I assume you can play it all the way through?

Try DVD Decrytper to get it onto your hard disk, I had a similar problem with Pirates of the Carribean, Decrypter seems to handle DVD problems a little better.

In my case it was definately something wrong with that particular DVD, I tried another (shop bought) copy of Pirates, and I was able to rip it ok.

Thanks, it was just 1 file that was causing the problems. I was able to just skip it using DVD Decripter.
