rest easy there shoozleboy and yoda....your children are safe with me. I'm not really a cracked out crazy person with all kinds of crazy habits or fetishes.

Though you may find it difficult to believe, I am a very good math teacher and have been recognized nationally. My students perform very high and very few have trouble in college level math classes. I will attest that my class is far different than any other american math class they enter but I take the time to get to know my kids, I know all about them. Family, likes, dislikes, friends, things they feel they do well, hobbies, things they do for fun, etc, etc. I get into each kid. The problem with the American education system is that somewhere along the line people forgot to teach students how to learn...or rather teachers have not adjusted what they do, to more closely align their teaching styles to the learning style of their students. I think that alone is one reason why class by class my kids perform so well. It's not that I have some hidden secret or new way of teaching it. But from the "dumb" kids to the "smart" kids, rich to poor, it doesn't matter, kids I have in class work very hard for me. I am a very creative thinker, with a quick wit and can relate virtually anything to them in terms they are familiar with. I wish I had a dollar for every kid that gets pawned off on me because he is a trouble maker and won't do any work that worked his ass off in my class, not only passed my class, but passed his state issued Proficiency test and graduated.

I disagree that some children cannot learn, I think it is up to the educators to figure out how each child learns and then adjust their classroom activities and instruction to that child. Oh, I know teachers say "I don't have the time" that's a bullshit copout. They are just lazy or inflexible or may not know another way of saying something...apparently they should have paid closer attention in psychology and sociology class, remembered that no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care and try to remember who works for who. I think most of my approach comes from coaching. Because on game day "kind of" knowing how to do it is unacceptable.

And if you don't accept what I say as truth then first, I should inform you that I pretty much don't care what you think, secondly I feel I should mention that the uni-bomber was a math teacher and that there is a fine line between pure genius and pure insanity...I could be teetering.

I just irritated with educated people (fellow teachers where I work) who have absolutely no ******* clue.

For example:
I believe that I am an educator, and as such I am an educator all the time. So I give the kids in my class my home phone number, my cell #, my email address, my MSN address, my Instant Messenger screen name, they are welcome to come in my class anytime of the day or call me and I will help them through instant messenger.

I check my email at 6 and 9 pm for students having issues with homework. Yesterday I was made fun of by a few teachers because I send all that info home with the students for their parents to sign it so the parents also know...this cuts down on the need for parent teacher conferences, increases communication with parents, etc...you get the idea.

So yesterday one teacher had heard about it, said something to me about it then a few other teachers standing around the area heard him talking and they were all thinking they were going to have a big laugh on Northcat...until they got the "**** you, you egotistical magnacumsucking jackass. Because I try to help the students you think that is a joke? That's because if you 4 were twice as smart as what you think you are you would still only be half as smart as a retarded jackass. I can save you 4 the ******* trouble, I don't give a **** what you think, so suck my d**k."

There were a lot of open mouths in the teacher's lounge yesterday morning (before students got to school)...I'm not sure they knew that Northcat could be an *******. One of the guys came down to my room yesterday during lunch and tried to apologize I just told him "**** you" to everything he said.

So really shoozleboy, the rant wasn't at you...just happened to be a coincidence.
