Hi. Some help please. Is it posible to rip two movies to your HDD at the same time? I use the latest dvdshrink and I'm trying to backup my brothers 50 owned movies and I'm trying to do it as quick as possible. Thanks for any advice.![]()

It would probably be slow as molasses, assuming you are writing both rips to the same hard drive, but it mite be bearable if ya have 2 DVD drives and rip each to a separate hard drive.
You are in breach of the forum rules and are being banned. Do not post false information.

Yes, with 2 DVD readers, 2 physical HDD and sufficent CPU power, you might gain some compared to ripping them one by one. With just one HDD, it will just slow the process down, as the HDD heads will have to skip and jump all the time...

I guess I should've mentioned my system specs. I have A Pentium 4 1.8 MHz. I have 250G WD HDD, 74G HDD, 40G HDD. I appreciate the help guys. I can always rely on good info on these forums. Thanks

If you are backing them up for your brother, not much you can do about time, since they will both be cpu intensive.
If you are copying them from your brother, you should have patience anyway. You're getting free movies.
Just my opinion, but I think it's the latter. -
please post ripping in the dvd to dvdr forum. moving you.

It might be a LITTLE faster, but with your machine? Probably marginal.
