Using DVD Movie Factory 3 I selected an avi file to burn. Burn was
successful but picture came out in a 4:3 format when it should have
come out in a 16:9 format.
Are their any options to adjust to tell DVD MF3 to burn an avi file in
16:9 format?
In an experiment I converted the file from AVI to MPG in "CuCusoft AVI
to DVD Converter" software and it kept the 16:9 original format when I
burned it via Ulead.
But when feeding the original AVI file directly into Ulead for
burning...I'm stuck with the 4:3 format.
Even with the latest updates (I've installed two patches), when I select 16:9 in the "General" and
"Display Aspect Ratio" tabs, I still get 4:3 size. This is when I try
importing an AVI file.
Thanks

Ken_myron,
use an external encorder like TmpENC or CCE. You can adjust your aspect ratio using these progs. The encorder in Ulead, I believe isn't the worlds best

My guess is that you captured it in 4:3 format. You might want to look under settings and see if there's a "use source frame aspect" check box. I know I'm able to author a disc with both 4:3 and 16:9 on the same disc and still have them display correctly using Ulead DVD Workshop.
You should be able to view the video properties by right clicking the clip in the timeline and selecting properties. See if it's listed as 4:3. It's just an attribute and you should be able to change it if you can't get it to display properly with Moviefactory.
