After capturing video to AVI I am unable to make a viewable MPEG file out of it using TMPGEnc without the entire video being a black screen.
The AVI file is/was captured using VirtualDub and the MJPEG codec that I have to use with my DC10+.
I can view the AVI in various players etc. after capture and even encode it to Divx succesfully using VirtualDub but since I want the TV playability VCD gives me I'd like to burn it as such but no luck. I have tried the "standard" VCD and SVCD templates included with TMPGEnc with the same result.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I just got an email from some girl in mexico having the exact same problem. I don't know what the deal is but I used to have one of these cards and never had such a problem using tmpenc. Have you thought about using the Studio DC10 Plus capture software that comes with the card. That's waht I always used and never had problems. I'm going to look into this problem a little more and see what I can find.
