  1. Just looking for different advise as to what works best to convert a cue/bin file (movie) to DVD format and burn. It has to be DVD format as that is all my built-in dvd player will play. I have tried VCDgear and SVCD2DVDMPEG. Both give acceptable results but wondering if there is anything better?
    Thanks,

dont quite understand what you mean. cue/bin are extensions of an image file. if you want to extract these files, use daemon tools to copy the files to your hard drive, and then use any conversion software to convert from vcd, svcd to dvd.

cue/bin are not movie files, they're just a way to package things. cue/bins can be anything from audio to software. once you open the bin files, then you use whatever method is best for whatever comes out...mpg, avi, divx etc

  4. Thanks, they are MPEG files (movies). Was just wondering if there was any 1 program over another that would exctract with better quality or do they just extract as good a quality movie as is in the bin file?[/quote]

Extraction is just that...taking whatever is in the bin out, no conversion. That's what VCDgear does.

SVCD2DVDmpeg will allow you to put an SVCD on a DVD, without conversion as well. It changes the headers in the file so that it appears to be a DVD compliant resolution, when in fact it is not.

So your method is sound, you just cannot improve upon what you are given as a source file.
