Hi I have been burning DVD-R using my optorite DD0203 with very few problems for 9 months. However since I updated my windows Xp to service pack 2 i have encountered problems.

I'm using nero 6 and have downloaded the update but when burning the screen says burn complete but when I click done it won't eject the dvd and i have to do it manually, and I then find despite my best efforts it won't play on anything.

If however I burn at 2 x speed(should be 4) there is no problems it burns successfully on dvd+rw at 2.4 speed as well. I have checked the dma is enabled and even after restoring to pre service pack 2 I get the same thing.

    Please help

    Hello,

Does your dvd burner have a firmware upgrade to deal with the new service pack?

Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

Usually the firmware will be an executable file.

Double click on it and let it do it's work.

However do not do anything else on your computer while it is flashing.

Reboot after flashing has finished, and it will redetect the drive.
