  1. I have a DVD where the audio gets lost in the mix and the primary sounds are actually in the rear channel and instead of in front. This is not a problem when played through the surround sound amp (though it is annoying) but sounds terrible when I play the disk through the stereo tv in another room.
Can I remix the sound so that it is just stereo (it's an interview segment so I don't really care about the surround)? What tools are best to use?
I have DVD Shrink, Vegas 4, DVD LAb and Goldwave 4something. Can any of these be used to fix the audio the way I want?

    Thanks.

  3. Should I import the video/audio in as 5.1 or as 2 channel stereo?
Then, would I tweak it by hand, or is Vegas kind enough to re-work it for me?
As an aside...WinDVD does a great job of playing it properly on my two speaker PC set up. This is why I am wondering if Vegas might acheive something similar on it's own.

    Thanks.

import all the channels (6) and pan each mono channel left or right or center (lfe and center) -- sometimes it sounds better to not use the surround channels at all
