  6. backwhacker, you can DOWNLOAD DVDSHRINK from the tools section on this forum. It's a freeware program which is awesome. I didn't know anything until a few months ago when I read about 40 posts on here and found out DVDSHRINK is one of the best programs to back up a DVD. Does it quick and in most cases no noticeable quality loss. You should try it out.

  7. I use DVD Shrink, CloneDVD 2, AnyDVD, and B Recorders Gold 5.

when copying a movie the first thing I do it check the size of it in windows if it's under 4.5 GB then I just use AnyDVD to take away the copy protection and B Recorder to do a straight copy of it, but there isn't that many movies that are under 4.5 GB

Most movies I use shrink to remove menu's and extra and audio I don't want so I get really good qulity and I save it as an ISO image to my HD then after I use Clone DVD 2 to burn the image.

  8. The only problem with dvdshrink is that you lose all the menus unless you do a full-disk-copy. I personally like clonedvd2. You can retain all the menus (I like to use the scene selection and subtitle options) and shrink it down. Another plus is that you can create an iso image so you can burn with dvddecryptor.

I think this was already answered above, but just to make it clear. If it's over 4.5G, you either use two DVDs or get a dual layer burner. Otherwise, shrink it down or loose the extras.
