  3. DVDShrink does not have a built in burner... It uses either Nero or DVD Decrypter to burn.

I use DVD Shrink to rip and compress to the hard drive, then Nero 6.3 to make a DVD Video Disk. Over 150 movies in the past seven months. I have thought about changing to something new but why fix something thats not broke. I like to have just the main movie in English and nothing else. Skip the menus and extras or other languages.

  5. I burn with VSO CopytoDVD mostly. I started using copytoDVD before Shrink had the burn option, but i do not like the new copytoDVD interface as much as the older version. So maybe i 'll start using the Nero built in burner on Shrink. Assuming it's as DVD player compatible as copytoDVD.

There is no Nero "built in" burner in Shrink. If you don't have Nero installed on your computer then Shrink can not use Nero to burn.

  8. So when im using dvdshrink and it gives you the burn option it uses nero it does not have its own built in burner...

  9. YES.

DVDSHRINK can automatically link in with Nero or DVD Decrypter to burn the image. If you don't have either installed, then it can't burn.

Nah, this poll is fine, just it wasnt explained well.

    Should be
"Do you use DVD-Shrink's built-in burning capability to automatically burn with Nero, DVD-Dec, or do you use other software"
and 3 options to choose: DVD-Dec, Nero, other

well, then its a totally diff poll... yeah youre right, its a moot LOL

  12. Hi all.

DereX888, you forgot to add CopyToDVD to the list of burning options (its SDK has been added to v3.2).

I usually choose "Hard Disc Folder" as the target, and burn later, at a more comvenient time, with Nero 6.
This enables me to use the computer for other tasks while processing the files in DVD Shrink.

I use Nero 6 to burn "DVD-Video" from folders I made with DVD Shrink. What I usually do is backup multiple movies into folders, then burn them later.

    @ddlooping

Honestly I didnt knew up until now there was a possibility to burn with CopyToDVD in shrink Thx for the info
Im not much of a user of shrink, some time ago I've actually reached that 'comfortable level' of having all of my software doing exactly what I need it to do, and Im not even following any newer stuff ATM (unless its some breakthrough like dual layer or so ofcoz).

    BTW - just to clarify:
I didnt make this poll, I only comment on it here earlier.

  16. CopyToDVD for me.

CopyToDVD also burn long file name without 'rename' which ALWAYS request from Nero or Roxio.

Otherwise 'one step' back up, I use elby CloneDVD 2 with DVD Region-Free or AnyDVD.

DVDShrink 3.2 to squeeze and Nero 5.5.10.XX to burn (Nero 6 too buggy).
