    Well, I have found my solid converter for PSP: Xilisoft Ultimate, awesome but one problem.
    The speed is SLOW, takes 2 hours to convert, so some help would be nice.goes at like 17fps when others hv gone at
    20-30 fps. so any ideas. thx keep em coming. =D and will soon post tuts, after full research.

    Put your machine specs in your profile to we have some basis for comparison and determining if that speed is reasonable.

    The source video will have some impact on encoding speed, as will other things happening on your syste, If you have a single core CPU then anything else happening on the system will have an impact. If you have a multi-core the impact will be less depending on how many cores the encoder uses.

    If the source has a lot of action it may encode slower as there will be more data to actually compress than something with just talking heads and little change from frame to frame.

    Ultimately, you may get incremental improvements by encoding from drive a to drive b, but you will only get major speed improvements by getting a faster CPU or using a faster encoder.
