Was hoping someone out there could help me with this...I haven't seen this particular "symptom" posted in this forum yet, so forgive me if this is a repeat...

When converting AVI files to VCD & SVCD compliant MPEG files with TMPGEnc (ver Beta 12a) the video freezes at exactly 4 minutes 42 seconds into the conversion and resync with the audio at exactly 5 minutes 40 seconds then proceeds normally to the end of the conversion (audio is fine throughout). I've verified the integrity of the AVI file prior to conversion and have experienced the same exact freeze-up, at the exact same time during conversion for 7 different AVI files ranging from 10 minutes to 42 minutes in duration and when converting to both VCD compliant MPEG1 and SVCD compliant MPEG2 files. It truly baffles me...

Here are my system specs:
AMD Athlon 1.2GHz
ASUS A7V Motherboard
ASUS V7700 Deluxe (32MB) Video Card
Soundblaster PCI512 Soundcard
512MB SDRAM
Cheetah 18GB 10krpm system drive (SCSI 160)
Medea RAID 120GB video storage
Windows 2000
Pinnacle DV500 Plus
Premiere 6.0
TMPGEnc Beta 12a
Nero 5.5

Any ideas? I haven't had any problems with my system stability...it's rock solid and throughput has never been a problem either (haven't dropped a frame yet). It seems strange that it hangs at the same point every time no matter what I do...

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you can provide.

Michael
