I was just cruising out with a few mates tonight and we stopped in at McD's for some food. Anyway, we were waiting in the drive through for our food (damn slow Maccas) when the car behind us kept beeping at us.

I thought it might be someone I know so I decided it wasn't a good idea to flip the bird at them. Thinking this I decided I'd just pull into the car park and see if they came over.

About 2 minutes later this girl comes over and knocks on the window and starts having a chat with me and says I'm cute and can she have my number.

So anyone else here been picked up by a chick? Sure beats trying to do it yourself. Takes the hassle right out.

Ok, many moons ago (about 20 years), I was with a friend at her friends house. Her friend had a friend staying with her, but she sat in the back of the room, and didn't say a word. Later that night, my friend's friend called me, and said her friend thought I was cute, and wanted to "jump my bones" (remember, this was the 80's). I said "sure, I'll be right there!"

I showed up, and she wasn't lying! Less than 5 minutes, we're on the bed going at it! We dated on and off for three years, and lived together for a year. I still think about her almost every day.....

My wife and I worked at the same place before we met. I was in the engineering department and she worked out on the production line. She started telling her friends at work what a nice ass I had, and how she'd like to meet me. Well, word spread around the plant that she wanted to climb my frame, and after a few weeks I couldn't walk through the place without hearing conversations end, and whispering starting up.

I asked her out, our first date was Nov. 11. The way the other women there acted, it was like I was reenacting the scene from Officer and a Gentleman. She brought me this huge cake on my birthday and left it on my desk. She had written "things inappropriate for the workplace" when decorating the cake, and I never heard the end of it from my coworkers She meant for them to see it

I proposed Thanksgiving (Nov. 24) and we were married Dec. 11 that same year. So I guess you could say she "picked me up"

Used to be shy about my looks. Now I just don't care that much, if a female likes me I want them to like me for who I am not because I was wearing $200 aftershave or something shallow like that.

I'd be pretty skeptical if some girl was trying to pick me up. Not that I'm bad looking [insert bad photochop here], just that I'm not very approachable. Despite that it has happened a couple times out of the blue (as in not girls I knew previously). Once (actually several at once) was during my visit to Japan a few years ago (best damn week of my life). Being a gaijin rules!

Another was some girl at school (college) who had dumped her boyfriend a month or more earlier but the guy was still following her around. We had shared an aviation ground class together so we were acquainted already. We ended up talking at a party and things kinda went from there. We tried dating for a while but her ******* previous boyfriend kept chasing us around. Apparently they hadn't even dated, she had just made out with him at a party once after talking with him and he thought that constituted being his girlfriend. Hes fortunate he didn't try anything really stupid otherwise he would have got a ferocious scolding

And then there was the girlfriend I don't think I'll ever get over who was just dumped on me by a friend of mine at a dance in high school, though not really by asking me out. We dated on and off for years later but now she's in a great relationship with a good guy and I'm happy for her. But enough emotional stuff from me, who wants to hear about how much fun I had in Tokyo?

The best pick up I had was when me and a couple buddies were walking through the busy night life of Japan, and a couple girls walked up to us and asked to take pictures with us Then they asked if we wanted to join them at a club nearby...we were going to a different club, so they followed us instead. Fun fun fun...then I got a girlfriend....but thats still fun!!

There, just being American in Ukraine is enough. I should know, I'm ugly as sin and had numerous women/girls try to pick me up. Only problem was, I was with my wife - although that didn't slow them down much. There was the time when a group of several girls (17 - 20 age range) followed me as I was leaving a small amusement park and the boldest one came up to me saying "American, english!" "Hello!" That may have been the extent of her (spoken ) vocabulary.

My wife (fiancee at the time) chased them away, literally. Said something rude to them in Russian and they left. Another opportunity shot...

Various times in shops, on streets and elsewhere, I'd be followed by someone with a really nice smile, and I could these girls wanted to approach me but were afraid. Still, it sure feeds your ego. It's just a small taste of what hot chicks (sorry, women) in this country get to experience every day. Very addicting.
