  1. ok, maybe there's someone out there who can help me out on this one. i bought a live concert dvd off ebay and when i got the disc and put it in my pc it has only one vob file that is 1 gig and it's only about 25 minutes long. but when i put it in my phillips recorder the entire disc is full clocking in at 2:03:38. i know it was recorded on some type of polaroid recorder because of the menu screen. has anyone else ever experience a similar situation?

Open the DVD with explorer and see what the folder/file names look like.

I'm wondering if you got a disc that's somehow damaged (scratches on writing surface).

  3. no. the disc is in perfect condition. when i opened it in explorer it had all the usual files a dvd has, but there was only one vob file, not the usual 5 equally sized files i've seen on other recorders. and it played the full 2 hours+ in my phillips recorder, so i know the video is on the disc somewhere. i can also tell the disc is full by checking the recording surface which is filled.

  4. Do you have a DVD burner?
If so have you had a look at the disk with the burner software?
SOmetimes you can extract hidden stuff that way.

  5. i have nero. it sees that the disc is full and there's some type of data track on there, but still shows only the single vob file. how can i extract the data with nero?

    Anything in the AUDIO_TS folder?
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.
