    Hi,

I have a 1 gb file of music/video which I want to convert to DVD. The files though are not recognised as they are FLAC files. On checking the conversions on here there is no mention of this format.

Does anyone please have any ideas..??

    Regards
    Thanks.....Mac

i had a couple of tracks like this, and really couldnt tell between mp3 and flac, but its supposed to be better overall than mp3 i think.

  3. Lossless means it will sound precisely like the original. MP3 is lossy, which is why it can reduce the filesize so much but not sound quite as good, although for normal listening it's just fine.

The lossy equivelant to FLAC is Ogg Vorbis. See www.vorbis.com for more details.

  6. Doesn't make sence that a flac file is a DVD... unless is it a data DVD with wav files on it. Flac by nature is an audio codec... F)ree L)ossless A)udio C)odec. DbPoweramp will decompress it.

  7. I think uriahdemon said he has that as an audio source for converting to DVD.
