I'm STILL having trouble rendering some footage in VV4. I've rendered several times with different field order settings, each giving different effects, none the right one!! I am getting bad edge distrotions on verticles when panning sideways, but only when played back on TV, not PC monitor.

If you go File>Properties, in Project Properties there is a field order window offering none progressive scan, upper filed first, lower field first.

If you go File>Render As, then custom>video tab there are the options: interlaced top field first, interlaced bottom field first or progressive only.

If i want my dvd to play on TV (pal) can suggest to me which of the above settings I need and do they compliment eachother or override eachother?

Also, if I go on properties on each clip on the timeline, the field order is lower field first, does this make any difference too?

    Any vegas useres any suggestions?

if your sources are all lower field first -- render lower field first
