    Dear Friends

I would like to know how could I copy a original DVD to my HD, and edit just some VOB files. This original DVD has two chains. There are the VTS_01_0.VOB and vts_01_1.vob in the first chain, at least, and The vts_01_1.vob, vts_01_2.vob, vts_01_3.vob, ... in the other. As you can see, there is the vts_01_1.vob file in both ones.

While this DVD starts runnning, the vts_01_1.vob of the first chain is played, cause it is a introduction, and then the vts_01_0, cause it is a menu. I would like to edit, add a logo, just in VOB files of the second chain. I also would like o use the same menu, how could I do this? I have learned how to add logos with the virtualdub, but I don't know how to create a DVD to run as the original above. What makes the vob files in the first chain run in order I said above?

    Sinc.,

PGCEdit and DVRemake will allow you to do this but I'm not too sure you will have the know how to do it at the minute

it all depends on the navigation of the DVD as to which method you would do it. An example would be to just change the First Play to navigate to an added VTS and play whatever intro/logo you want and then return back to the main menu. This will involve command editing and is probably the hardest method but it will work

you could also just replace the intro the DVD already has with another VOB quite easily and change the play time if it's just a still

another would be to extract the first cell that plays in the VOB you want the intro on with DVDDecrypter. Join your logo to the beginning of that with VOBEDIT and replace it back with either of the above programs. The logo would have to be the same resolution of course

you can just about do anything with DVD's now these days when it comes to shuflling the contents of a DVD about

I guess you didn't understand me. I plan to add a little logo at the corner in every frame.

lol, , yep I surely did and I ain't got a clue as to another program that does it automatically

what format are the files with the logo you have added?

can you not use Ifoedit and remux(demux it first if needed) the video from these back into the original once you have added the logo? You should be able to do it if it's a single PGC

if it's a multiple PGC it's probably still possible but a little bit more long winded to replace the original video

WELL, I DID NOT MERGE ANY LOGO INTO ANY FRAME YET. I HAVE LEARNED TO DO THIS, WITH THE VIRTUALDUB AND A ITS LOGO FILTER, BUT BEFORE THIS, I/WE WOULD HAVE TO HAVE USED THE SMARTRIPPER, AND THEN THE DVD2AVI (TO JOIN THE VOBs INTO JUST ONE D2V FILE, AND GET THE AC3 AUDIO FILE), AND THEN THE VFAPIConvEN (TO GET A META[FAKE] AVI FILE ABLE TO OPEN THE D2V FILE, TO FINALLY USE THE VIRTUALDUB, TO THEN SERVER A VDR FILE TO THE TMPGEnc, TO THEN GET A M2V FILE, TO THEN WITH TMPGEnc DVD AUTHOR GET READY TO BURN.

But, as I have said, My Original DVD has two Angle Chains, and one VOB file with the same name, in both ones.
The Author programs that I have, ALSO don't let us use/copy the menu that already exist in the original disk, which I wish to. I guess that they only let use the menu that they already have made.
The menu, is in the first Angle chain at a specific vob file. I guess I could try to ripper it to different folders, p.e., and then try to use the same menu by hand/manually editing it.
But, as you can see, I am just trying to merge a logo of mine in the corner of every vob frame, and I am just trying to find the easiest, or an easier way to do so, keeping the origianal menu, like just copy all the files from my original dvd to my hd, editing only the vob files directly, and then copying then back to another dvd disc.
Did you understand? Do you know if this could be possible, or an easier way to do so?
