Can the program be deleted from the unfinalized DVD+R?

Hi guys! I copy something in a R+DVD disc and have not finalized it. Can I delete the recorded title/program before finalizing? It seems impossible to delete the recorded title/program from the R+DVD regardless of already finalized or not because the edit title option is disabled. I know the recorded program can be deleted from a RW DVD at any time. Please help me to confirm whether the recorded title/program can be deleted from the R+DVD disc before finalizing. Thanks.

it depends on your dvd recorder,
although the phillips dvd recorders dont last very long they do have the wonderful option of erasing any title on the dvd before finalizing.
an option i consider essential for a standalone, so if you have a false start on your dvd you can stop the source and recording, delete the 1st title and start over ...of course if the title you erase is most of the disc capacity then you wont have much room to record left.

this option works for dvd+r!!!!
