Greetings,

Forgive me if I am not in the right forum.

I make my home videos by recording via my digital camcorder directly to DVD recorder (Cyberhome 1500 DVR). And then I take my DVR+RW disc to my computer and edit out and author them and burn it to a DVD+R disc.

The quality is just awesome when played from the standalone DVD player.

My problem is when I play the DVD with PowerDVD in the computer, the quality of the video is not even close to what I get on the TV. I think it is because of the interlaced video.

This was not a big issue for me till now. I need to convert one of my old home made DVD's to divx (don't ask why). I tried using progressive option in dr. divx but the quality is not as sharp as it appears on TV even with higher bitrate (HD profile - 4000bitrate).

Anybody has any suggestion?

I appreciate your help.

Thanks.
Danzian
