  1. Hi all,

Recently, I reorganized my electronics. Once I had done this, I turned on my Akai DVD player and everything was black and white... Why the heck did it do that? Is it the player or configuration... I have been over the connections many times and everything seems to be in order. This is an Akai DVD player, its the one with 5 surround sound speackers. It still plays everything well, it just is black and white! I have a DVD player ran throuth it, but it does not give surround sound output, so I really want this up and working again. Any ideas?

Maybe you are watching PAL videos on it or visa versa. When I watch PAL DVDs on my Panasonic standalone player, it looks normal except it is black and white.

If you are using S-video cables make sure they are pushed in all the way. I have had this same problem all because an s-video cable was not in all the way.
