  1. I remember everyone talking about this great screenshot utility for apple. Does anyone remember what the name of this program is? or a comporable version used for PC if no one can remember that one? Thanks guys-

    You can take screenshots from key combinations (in OS X).

    Apple+Shift+3 will capture the entire desktop
    Apple+Shift+4 will allow you to draw a section of screen you want captured
    Apple+Shift+4+Spacebar will allow you to capture any window

    All captures are saved as PDF files associated with Preview. I use Adobe Photoshop to convert these PDFs to JPEG.

  4. I use Capture Me.. It's freeware, works great and can even capture DVD screenshots..

    Thats right ... The Apple method will not let you capture any MPEG2 frames, encrypted or not. The captured window or area will just be black.

    add the 'control' key to any of these key combos, and the screenshot will be on your clipboard intsead of creating a file.
    then you can paste it in photoshop. Its great when you need more than one screenshot in one photoshop file.
