    Hi guys I used to have a piece of software way back that did this but I lost it when my pc crashed so I was searching for it or a new one and it lead me here were other were asking similar things hope you guys can help

    the program I am looking for has to be able to take screenshots automatically every say 2 seconds

    the one I had did this I set it to take shots every few seconds and left it and that was it I would have a folder full of shots

    anyone have any ideas

    Capture areas: All monitors, current monitor, current window, current window's client area

    Capture Method: Automatic every X seconds

    Saving Method: Filename template, location, and file type all set-able.

    I know this might make me sound stupid but I am not up on all this that will work with any media program ie windows media player and windows media player classic

  5. imagegrabber 2 is another option

    you can also use vdub and set it for the frame range by using avisynth script as input (.e.g selectevery() )

    I don't think that's possible. Many players use overlay which is impossible to capture with a standard screen capture. Some players can work with the overlay mode switched off.

    FYI in overlay mode, the application window (where the video is) is actually black. The video shows through anywhere the screen is black. The application places the video "behind" the black window and it's visible. If you try to capture, you will get plain black. In such a case you have to use the capture utility that comes with the application.

    My ATi TV uses overlay. If I place a jpg over the top, the video is blotted out everywhere except in places the jpg is black.

    image grabber 2 seems to do the job but not worked out how to use the settings as yet and where it saves the pics
