My DVD player will only play audio no video

Since i upgraded to XP Pro i have lost video when playing DVDs
I can play Mpegs and WinTV card ok

I have displayed the DVD info on the Run bar by typing DVDUPGRD /Detect

The following was displayed

Name vobtrans.ax
Co Name Pinnacle Systems
Version 1.0.0.45
CRC32:0X1bebd111
Vid:0

Its probably the driver i am told please can anyone help

Hello,
What dvd software were you using? Try reinstalling windvd or powerdvd. That will get the mpeg2 codecs back on. By the way, were the mpegs actually mpeg2?

Thanks Kevin...I have used WinDVD and Winows Media Player 9 both give same symptoms
I am just dwonloading WinDVD again to make sure
