  1. Hi All,

I have a DVD that I have created using a standalone DVD recorder (a Compacks DVD-101).

When I look at the files in the video_ts folder they look like...

    Directory of G:\VIDEO_TS

    06/06/2004 05:51 <DIR> .
    06/06/2004 05:51 <DIR> ..
    06/06/2004 05:51 12,288 VIDEO_TS.BUP
    06/06/2004 05:51 12,288 VIDEO_TS.IFO
    06/06/2004 05:51 172,032 VIDEO_TS.VOB
    06/06/2004 05:51 65,536 VTS_01_0.BUP
    06/06/2004 05:51 65,536 VTS_01_0.IFO
    06/06/2004 05:51 1,073,739,776 VTS_01_1.VOB
    6 File(s) 1,074,067,456 bytes

As you can see there is only one large vob file in there and if I extract the mpg file from it not all the video is in it.

What I mean is there is more video on the disk than there is in this one vob file. If I play the disk in a standalone player, the whole video (about 1 and a half hours) plays fine. But there is only about a third of the total video in this one vob file.

It is almost as if there are other vob files on the disk but the pc can't see them.

Any ideas how to get the mpeg files back out of the vob files?

    Cheers.

  2. Just so that people know, the answer to this is to change DVD Decrypter to IFO mode and that will decode all the .vob files.

Now if only I could get all the audio to sync...

I bought the same player you have yesterday & I see your problem. For me this is occuring in pinnacle studio 9.

What I did was merge & cut with tmpg, cos it's quick.

The resulting file was the correct length in studio 9.
