  1. hello again


    i wish to know which one is the best mpeg2 codec avaliable?

    i found one in the tools section, but i dont like it much..

    i have one that comes with power dvd

    but when i open a mpg2 with media layer i always get
    error downloading codec


    anyone knows why?


    and wich codecs i should buy for best results?

    i use TMPGEnc PLus, for encoding, but i think i need one for decoding

    The MPEG2 files you create you can play in your DVD Playing software. Some don't play stand-alone files. If you insist on usin WiMP to play them, you need a "VOB Filter". Nimo Codec pack has it. http://nimo.everwicked.com/ I strongly discourage you from using codec packs, as they mess up your settings, and what not. Use only as a last resort. Try searching the web for a "VOB Filter". Hope this helps.

    I use the Intervideo mpeg1/2 decoder that comes with WinDVD. I use it from within WinDVD and I use it as a plugin in Media Player Classic. It works very well in my opinion.
